Meet the Farmers Behind Your Meal: The Heart and Story of Arrows Farm

ArrowsFarmClarkesvilleGA

At Arrows Farm, our Farm-to-Fork Dinner is more than just a meal; it’s a heartfelt invitation to connect with the land, food, and the people who make it possible. When you sit down at our table, you’re dining with friends and neighbors who care deeply about the journey of each ingredient. I’m Allie Correa, and together with my husband, Vinny, we are the farmers behind your meal. We cultivate this beautiful land with love, passion, and a vision for a sustainable future.

Vinny’s Journey: From Brazil to the Farm Fields of North Georgia

ArrowsFarmClarkesvilleGA

Vinny’s passion for farming began in Brazil, where he spent his summers alongside his grandfather on the family farm. These early experiences ignited a love for the land and taught him the importance of working with nature. After moving to the United States, Vinny served eight years in the U.S. Marine Corps, embracing discipline and resilience that he later brought into his farming journey.

Following his military service, Vinny took on a different kind of challenge: banking at Wells Fargo. While this career provided stability, he felt a strong calling back to the soil and the meaningful work of growing food. With a degree in Agricultural Business, he had the knowledge, and with his childhood memories and Marine discipline, he had the drive to create something special.

At Arrows Farm, Vinny has dedicated himself to sustainable practices, using techniques that honor the earth. Our farm practices include no sprays, hugel mounds, crop rotation, cover crops, swales on contour, composting, reducing tillage, integrated pest management, companion planting, and methods that improve soil quality over time. Each practice is a step toward cultivating not just produce, but a regenerative and healthy ecosystem.

Allie’s Path to the Farm: Education, Family, and Community Service

As for me, I bring my background in education into our farming practices. With a Master’s in Special Education, I have spent years working with children with autism, and now, I apply that experience to teach families about the joys of growing their own food. My passion for nurturing extends beyond the classroom; it’s about cultivating a thriving community where families can bond over shared meals and experiences.

Our partnership extends from our family life—raising two children in the beautiful North Georgia mountains—to our shared vision of farming. We believe that everyone should know where their food comes from and that farming should be accessible to all. I find joy in teaching community members, especially children, about sustainable practices and how they can bring the farm-to-table experience into their own backyards.

Sustainable Farming Practices: Growing with Nature

At Arrows Farm, we embrace sustainable practices that honor the land. We focus on techniques such as no sprays, hugel mounds, crop rotation, and integrated pest management. By utilizing cover crops and composting, we aim to improve soil quality and reduce tillage, allowing us to grow healthy, nutrient-rich produce. These practices reflect our belief that caring for the land is integral to growing food that nourishes our bodies and our community.

A Celebration of Community, Food, and Sustainability

Our Farm-to-Fork Dinner is the culmination of all that Arrows Farm stands for: community, sustainability, and a shared love of fresh, local food. Each dish is crafted from ingredients grown either on our farm or sourced from nearby, including fresh kale, peppers, lettuce, and a variety of herbs. This dinner allows you to taste the results of our farming practices and join us in celebrating the hard work and love that goes into every bite.

Guests will also have the chance to see the farm itself, explore the gardens, and learn about the journey of each ingredient from soil to plate. We hope to inspire our guests to bring some of these sustainable practices into their own lives, supporting a cycle of growth and nourishment for generations to come.
